Why Blue Mountain Lodge?
Blue Mountain Lodge is not a big company owned rental business, but rather a family owned vacation rental cabin. We have meticulously restored Blue Mountain Lodge, which we bought as a distressed property, to its present state. We have also restored or made many of the furniture and decor pieces in the cabin, adding our unique personal touch. Compare Blue Mountain Lodge to other cabins of similar size and you will see that you simply get more value and better quality with us! We hope that you will cherish your time at Blue Mountain Lodge as much as we do and treat it with care and respect it deserves.
When we first saw this cabin, it has been a foreclosed property that sat empty and stripped of all fixtures for a couple of years. There was no running water, no lights, no interior doors, no air or heat, no sinks, no faucets, and the list of "no"s goes on and on. But the soaring ceilings with exposed beams, light filled interior and spacious rooms looked promising. We loved the quiet street with just a few cabins on it, the large yard, and the location that is far enough to provide seclusion yet close enough to have all the attractions within easy reach. We had to overcome our fears of getting into a classic "money pit" situation while we poured in all of our resources - physical, emotional and monetary - for the next year and a half to restore the Blue Mountain Lodge to what you see today. We have gone beyond just mere restoring the cabin - by adding improvements like awnings above front and back porch, gutters, water filtration system, new powder room and many others.
